Welcome!
I'm Kenny, a Scottish landscape artist based in Aberdeen. My work is inspired by the drama of our coastlines and the vastness of the skies. I paint primarily in oils, capturing the shifting light and atmosphere of the wild places I love. My goal is to bring the enduring beauty of the outdoors into your home.
Explore a collection of original oils that reflect the rugged coastlines, brooding skies, and quiet moments that define our landscape. Each piece is created with careful attention to colour, texture, and composition to evoke place and feeling.

A little bit more about me...
I have been making art for as long as I can remember. Childhood doodles and homemade projects gave way to more careful sketching and painting in my teens. My father was a professional photographer whose passion was landscape work; many weekends were spent on photography trips with him, learning composition and how to capture natural light. Those outings planted the seeds of my love for landscapes — the subject that dominates my work today.
At the end of high school I chose an engineering degree over art college — not a flip of a coin decision, but close. For the first part of my engineering career, art lived on the margins: occasional pieces, a handful of studies. Over time, painting crept into more and more of my life. The more I painted, the more I wanted to paint, and my technical skills began to grow in step with my appetite.
In 2020, after nearly 15 years in engineering, I made the decision to take time out from my engineering career and pursue art full time. It felt less like abandoning a secure path and more like answering a long-standing question: what can I achieve if I devote myself fully to my craft? With this decision settled, I literally 'jumped right in' and for over a year I fully immersed myself in my art and loved every step. I made lots of mistakes, but I strived to learn from them. Mistakes are gifts especially if they lead to fantastic outcomes.
Ulimately, after my career break I returned to my engineering job, but as an artist I had transformed in a way I couldn’t have imagined. I still have a passion to keep improving and sharing my art. For me art is a way of life, it is what I do, it is part of me. This website is an outlet for me and one I wish to share with the world.
