Frequently Asked Questions

  • I treat every painting like it’s my own child leaving the nest! I personally pack every piece to ensure safe passage. All original artwork is sent via a fully insured and tracked courier service. I’ll email you the tracking number the moment it leaves my studio so you can follow its journey.

  • Yes, I ship globally. However, please note that if you are outside the UK, your country may charge Custom/Import fees to release the goods. These fees are the responsibility of the buyer and are, unfortunately, outwith my control.

  • Fortunately, I have never had this issue, so I expect this is extremely rare, but I know it’s a worry. Rest assured, every shipment is fully insured for its value. If the worst happens, please contact me immediately with photos of the packaging and the damage, and we will sort it out.

  • I want you to love your new art. If the painting arrives and it just doesn’t feel right for your space, I offer a 14-day return policy (starting from the day you receive it). The small print: The artwork must be returned in its original, undamaged condition. Once I receive it back safely, I will issue a full refund for the painting. Please note that return shipping costs are non-refundable.

  • For available artwork, I typically dispatch within 5 working days. Shipping times vary by location, but I’ll keep you updated every step of the way. If you need a piece by a specific date (like a birthday), drop me an email before buying, and I’ll see if I can make the deadline work! I am not Amazon unfortunately. I am a small business shipping original art, so things work a little differently, but I will be in touch directly so you are kept fully informed.

Most paintings are already framed, ready to ship, but on occasions I may need a bit more time to finish the product and ship, again, if that is the case, I will let you know.

  • Not at the moment. I have done this in the past and they were great, but right now, I am focusing 100% of my creative energy on producing original oil paintings. I may reintroduce this in the future at some point.

  • Currently, I am not accepting new commissions. As well as being an artist, I work full-time as an Engineer in the energy sector. To ensure I maintain a healthy work-life balance and keep the quality of my art high, I’m focusing purely on painting the landscapes that inspire me right now.

I have done many commissions before and I loved the process. Again, I may start doing these again in the future.

  • Absolutely! As standard, your painting arrives in a premium frame (as shown in the product photos) which I have personally selected to complement the artwork’s specific palette and mood.

However, I know that framing is personal and needs to fit your home's decor. If you have a different style in mind, I am more than happy to accommodate it. I highly recommend browsing Brampton Framing (https://www.bramptonframing.com/) for ideas.

Just let me know your preference before shipping. Please note that changing the frame will naturally add a little time to the delivery, and if the chosen frame is more expensive than the standard one, I will simply ask that you cover the difference. My goal is to ensure you don’t just have a beautiful painting, but a frame you love too.

  • When you purchase an original painting, you own the physical object, but as the artist, I retain the copyright. This means you cannot produce prints or copies of the work to sell or distribute without my written permission.

The reality of modern life is that it is very difficult to control this stuff. For me I focus on Original art created by human creativity and effort…. a copy is a copy (legit or not).

  • Pricing art can be a mystery, so I like to be transparent. When I started, I used a simple 'cost-plus' model based on time and materials. However, I found that this approach focuses too much on 'production' rather than 'creation.'

I have now moved to a 'market value' model. This allows me to focus purely on quality, ensuring I only release paintings that I love and would be proud to hang on my own wall. While price still reflects the premium materials I use, this shift means I never have to compromise the art just to fit a strict time-sheet.

  • Yes! By day, I’m a Engineer; by night (and weekend), I’m a landscape artist. It might seem like a strange mix, but my engineering background gives me a deep appreciation for structure and composition, while painting gives me the freedom to be expressive.

  • Mostly! I didn’t go to art school (I chose engineering university instead), but I’ve been drawing since I was a kid. I treat art as "lifelong learning," constantly studying and refining my craft. I also had a great head start—my dad was a professional photographer, so I grew up learning composition on our trips together.

  • I don’t have my own public gallery, but I occasionally work with local galleries to display my pieces. The best way to find out where my work is currently hanging is to follow me on social media for the latest exhibition news.
