So as a birthday gift to myself I bought a Plein Air easel. Mad as it is, I didn’t have one and to paint outside it certainly is a must. So on the first nice day (which happened to be my birthday), Gaz and myself shot down to Newborough Beach and set up. This is the scene that we were presented with. I blocked it in on location and took the painting back home. After it sitting aside for a few days, I decided it needed a bit more interest in the foreground, so for a bit of fun (and to mark the occasion) I decided to paint in my easel.
